Waskahegan Trail Association - Waiver

Before participating in any WTA event, you must first agree to be bound by and sign the WTA waiver:

As well, please read the FAQs, Etiquette and Rules - for additional information about our Trail.

Note that other tour companies that we use as service providers for our events may have their own waivers that they will also require you to sign.

Signatures must be witnessed at the time that the waiver is signed. If you do not have a witness, please sign the waiver in the presence of your Hike Leader who can then witness your signature.

Members

Active Members

Members who participate in WTA activities are required to fill out the Member Waiver upon payment of their membership dues. The waiver is good for the duration of the membership. For example, if you purchase a membership in October 2015 which expires March 1st, 2017 - two years hence, your waiver is good until February 28, 2017. Before attending a WTA event, please print the member waiver, complete it, and bring it with you.

Family Members on a Single Membership

Each individual person taking part in a WTA event must complete a Waiver. If a family has purchased a membership and the husband, wife and child all hike - then three waivers are required. If the child is less than 18 years of age, they must complete a Child Waiver.

Organization Members

Individuals who are members of Hike clubs, Scout Groups, etc. which are organization members of the association are considered guests and must complete a Guest/Non-Member Waiver for each WTA event attended.

Inactive and Honorary Members

Some of our members belong to the association to support the trail but hike the trail on their own or sometimes not at all. These individuals do not need to complete a waiver and there is a check box on the application to indicate this. If this individual does join our hike, they must complete either a Member or a Guest/Non-Member or Child Waiver as applicable.

Non-Members

All non-members (ie. guests), must have a completed Non-Member Waiver for each and every WTA event that they attend. Members who are bringing guests are asked to ensure that the non-member waiver, is completed and brought along to each event.
